Mannheim – tmax Germany GmbH from Mannheim has once again been recognized as one of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany and will now bear the prestigious TOP 100 award in 2025. This renowned prize is awarded on the basis of a scientific selection process led by innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke. Science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar, who is a mentor of the competition, will personally congratulate tmax on this success at the award ceremony on June 27, 2025 in Mainz. .
The TOP 100 is based on a scientific selection process led by innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and his team. On behalf of compamedia, the organizer of the competition, he and his team analyzed the innovative strength of the participants on the basis of more than 100 test criteria, which were divided into five categories: innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organization, external orientation/open innovation, and innovation success. The core issue of the TOP 100 analysis is whether innovations are the result of structured innovation management in companies or whether they arise by chance (the test criteria can be viewed at www.top100.de/pruefkriterien).
“Innovation means acting instead of reacting,” says Franke, “it means actively shaping the future instead of hoping that nothing will change.”
This is the fifth time that tmax has been among the TOP 100 innovators. As a specialist in the mechanical engineering industry, the company has made a name for itself with its engineered solutions, particularly in the field of high-temperature insulation.
Developing customized, intelligent solutions for every customer and every challenge is of particular importance to tmax. To this end, the company is working on future-oriented technologies and making a significant contribution to decarbonization for a climate-friendly future.
At tmax, innovations are a central driver of the company’s goals. They are created by talented, committed people with a genuine passion for their work. That is why tmax consciously creates space for creativity, promotes independent thinking and encourages its employees to develop new ideas. tmax does not see mistakes as obstacles, but as opportunities to discover new paths and to boldly forge ahead. This inspiring environment ensures a highly motivated team that enthusiastically develops innovative solutions for customers.
Of the 364 applicants, 262 companies received the TOP 100 seal 2025, which is awarded in three size categories: up to 50, 51 to 200 and more than 200 employees. A maximum of 100 companies per category receive the award.
The award ceremony will take place on June 27, 2025 at the Rheingoldhalle in Mainz as part of the German SME Summit. Ranga Yogeshwar will be there to personally congratulate all the award winners.
