How to overcome all challenges in the high temperature range.
Easily reach tier 4/5 and more
Exhaust gas aftertreatment with tmax integral insulation
Efficient exhaust gas aftertreatment is the basic prerequisite for compliance with the exhaust gas standards Tier 4 final and Tier 5 / Stage V, as well as upcoming ones. The correct handling of high temperatures is indispensable here.
The tmax integral insulation ensures that optimum temperatures are maintained at all key points in the exhaust tract for maximally efficient exhaust gas aftertreatment.. It consists of outer shells made of stainless-steel foil or thin sheet lined with an insulating insert.
Whether it's efficient exhaust gas aftertreatment, reliable fire protection or effective soundproofing – our solutions make a decisive contribution
Meeting safety requirements – significantly easier
Optimal touch & fire protection
For rail vehicles, the highest safety requirements apply. And that’s a good thing. To help you comply with these, we at tmax developed a special textile insulation molding back in 2016, in accordance with the requirements of the EN 45545 fire protection standard.
Temperature-resistant up to 650 °C and with excellent insulating properties, it is used in the insulation of exhaust gas turbochargers, exhaust manifolds, entire exhaust gas lines and exhaust gas aftertreatment systems in rail vehicles.
The advantages are obvious:
High temperature insulation: no heat, no fire
Three fantastic high-temperature solutions
Unbeatable when combined
A wide product range of different insulation materials allows us to solve any high-temperature challenges.
Metal insulation cladding

Sometimes, not only one type of insulation is suitable. More and more often, our solutions are as individual as your challenge. We combine the advantages of suitable insulation types and develop an insulation solution specifically tailored to your requirements.
Pssst. tmax for compliance with strict noise protection specifications
The high-temperature insulation that absorbs sound
Rail vehicle drivers are exposed to loud engine noise most of the time. The noise levels sometimes pose a high burden for adjacent residential areas. If work is carried out around the clock, this is difficult to accept.
However, sound-absorbing measures in the engine compartment are not easy because they require space.
With tmax Sonetherm, we have an innovative solution for you. The sound-absorbing insulation combines direct thermal insulation with the principle of sound absorption to reliably reduce disturbing noise without compromising the thermal and mechanical properties of the insulation or the motor performance.
Insulation technologies for off-highway vehicles.
When high-horsepower engines operate safely and efficiently off-highway and easily comply with valid emission standards, it usually means that creative solutions from tmax are involved.
Efficient exhaust gas aftertreatment
in the off-highway sector
We offer solutions for reducing the surface temperature to as low as 60 °C, thus ensuring maximum operational safety and reliability for your machines.
