Exhaust gas aftertreatment with tmax integral insulation
Efficient exhaust gas aftertreatment is the basic prerequisite for compliance with the exhaust gas standards Tier 4 final and Tier 5 / Stage V, as well as upcoming ones. The correct handling of high temperatures is indispensable here.
The tmax integral insulation ensures that optimum temperatures are maintained at all key points in the exhaust tract for maximally efficient exhaust gas aftertreatment.. It consists of outer shells made of stainless-steel foil or thin sheet lined with an insulating insert.

For rail vehicles, the highest safety requirements apply. And that’s a good thing. To help you comply with these, we at tmax developed a special textile insulation molding back in 2016, in accordance with the requirements of the EN 45545 fire protection standard.
Temperature-resistant up to 650 °C and with excellent insulating properties, it is used in the insulation of exhaust gas turbochargers, exhaust manifolds, entire exhaust gas lines and exhaust gas aftertreatment systems in rail vehicles.
