Less heat, more safety. With tmax insulation cladding

tmax offers customized, intelligent solutions

In the construction industry, you face more than one challenge. The risk of fire in the engine compartment is high and represents an enormous danger for man and machine. If a fire occurs, the consequences are severe. Added to this are increasingly stringent exhaust and noise standards, which are designed to enable more efficient, low-impact use.

Many challenges. One solution: tmax insulating cladding.

The full power of tmax insulation: temperatures to below 220 °C

tmax offers customized, intelligent solutions

A large proportion of fires in construction equipment, start in the engine compartment. The main cause is the high surface temperature of components such as turbochargers, manifolds and exhaust tracts, which can reach up to 750 °C.

Studies recommend minimizing the potential risks as early as the machine designing stage. Thermal insulation of hot surfaces is particularly suitable for this purpose. Additionally, it is suggested to keep hydraulic and electrical lines safely away from heat sources and from each other. Prevention proves to be the best measure because a prevented fire does not need to be extinguished.

Heat and sound insulation
The better man and technology are protected from combustion and fires, the higher the productivity. Benefit from a high insulation effect with significant sound reduction, stability, and durability.
Exhaust gas aftertreatment
Temperature control for optimum exhaust gas cleaning and protection of temperature-sensitive components from heat. Positive side effect: fire protection and the possibility of lowering Insurance premiums are, in a sense, supplied.
Heat protection for the engine compartment
Reduced energy input in the engine compartment with perfect contact protection. Short development times and simple assembly and disassembly.

Significantly improved exhaust gas aftertreatment

Our contribution to the environment, man, and machine

To reduce the emission of pollutants, agreements on limit values have been reached at an international level. These will be gradually lowered for new vehicles. Level V of the EU Emissions Regulation and Tier 4 in the U.S. have been in effect since 2019. The growing requirements for noise protection also call for new measures to reduce noise.

tmax insulation solutions offer:

  • Comply with emission guidelines
  • Improved light-off behavior
  • Significantly increased efficiency
  • Reduce noise pollution
  • Perfect fit on blanks

The high-temperature insulation that absorbs sound

Drivers of small and large construction vehicles are, typically, exposed to loud engine noises. The noise levels sometimes pose a high burden for adjacent residential areas. If work is carried out around the clock, this is difficult to accept.

However, sound-absorbing measures in the engine compartment are not easy because they require space.

With tmax Sonetherm,  we have an innovative solution for you. The sound-absorbing insulation combines direct thermal insulation with the principle of sound absorption to reliably reduce disturbing noise without compromising the thermal and mechanical properties of the insulation or the motor performance.
